About The Position

Gables Residential is seeking a data-driven total rewards expert to lead the design, implementation, and administration of the compensation and benefits programs. This position will create policies and procedures to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in all associate offerings. You will provide analysis, expertise, and project management oversight on key initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Human Resources, or a related field of study required.
  • 5 years’ experience in managing Compensation/Benefits programs required.
  • Working knowledge of associate compensation practices, including job analysis, documentation, evaluation, equity analysis, market pricing, costing, salaried structure design, merit programs, and other total reward programs.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously and regularly adjusting priorities.
  • Proven analytic and business skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations in computing rates, premiums, and adjustments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations.
  • Clear, precise, and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with compensation matters in a confidential, objective, and professional manner.
  • Results driven with ability to operate independently and proactively.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and work across all levels of organization and cultivate relationships to include HR Business Partners, Operations, Legal, and Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (VLookUp, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
  • Workday compensation model experience
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
  • Experience in the design and management of sales incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall strategy, design, and administration of Gables total rewards programs, including base pay, variable pay, benefits, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure Gables total rewards offerings remain competitive and attractive to current and prospective employees as well as in compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage daily compensation operations including administration of compensation plans, market pricing, and providing job analysis guidance.
  • Develop and implement performance-based incentive programs that drive associate engagement and performance excellence.
  • Manage the annual merit and bonus cycles, ensuring fair and consistent application of compensation decisions.
  • Collaborate with Director of HRIS to optimize the use of technology for total rewards administration, reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive communication and education initiatives to enhance associate understanding and appreciation of Gables total rewards programs.
  • Leverage strong qualitative and analytical skills to provide data manipulation, querying, and reporting support for both compensation related and other HR related data requests.
  • Complete annual audits to support Gables Social goals as they relate to compensation equality and benchmarking.
  • Completion of industry salary surveys.
  • Manage all associate benefit plans and programs, including but not limited to health insurance, flexible spending accounts, dental insurance, vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, retirement, and other health and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process. Prepares communication and training materials, updates the HR/Payroll system with plan changes and rates, and works with third party administrators to ensure the integrity of eligibility and enrollment electronic file feeds.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and welfare plans, including preparation and filing of Form 5500, ACA reporting, and all other regulatory filings.
  • Manage relationships with external administrators/vendors and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Manage benefit contributions and payments. Works with payroll to ensure benefit premiums are deducted timely and missed premiums are collected.
  • Resolve associate questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures; ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry best practices related to compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned directly related to compensation and benefits.
