Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Banquets to oversee all banquet operations at our esteemed resort in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional event experiences, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in banquet management or related hospitality leadership role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, health and safety standards, and event planning software.
- Proven training and computer skills with ability to to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- MICROS and Opera experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute all banquet events including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
- Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team, sales department, and other resort staff to ensure successful event delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
- Monitor budgets, manage inventory, and ensure profitability of banquet operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Continuously improve banquet services by gathering guest feedback and implementing effective solutions.
