Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Banquets to oversee all banquet operations at our esteemed resort in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional event experiences, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in banquet management or related hospitality leadership role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of banquet operations, health and safety standards, and event planning software.
  • Proven training and computer skills with ability to to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • MICROS and Opera experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute all banquet events including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
  • Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team, sales department, and other resort staff to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Monitor budgets, manage inventory, and ensure profitability of banquet operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Continuously improve banquet services by gathering guest feedback and implementing effective solutions.
