About The Position

The Director of Auxiliary Services and Access Control is responsible for overseeing various campus operations including OneCard services, parking management, and mail and shipping operations. This role involves managing physical and digital access credentials, maintaining equipment, leading system upgrades, and ensuring efficient mail distribution. The position also requires developing strategic plans for parking, managing vehicle registrations and permits, and handling all aspects of campus mail and shipping services, including adherence to postal regulations and equipment maintenance.

  • Proficient with Google Workspace tools.
  • Quick to pick up new software.

  • Prior experience with higher education platforms such as Jenzabar is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Issue, replace, and manage physical and digital OneCards for students, faculty, and staff, providing responsive customer service.
  • Oversee, troubleshoot, and maintain OneCard equipment, readers, card printers, mobile integrations, and door access systems.
  • Lead major system upgrades, testing, and term transitions for OneCard systems.
  • Represent OneCard interests on college-wide committees to enhance student services.
  • Issue, return, and track physical keys, manage key agreements and documentation, and audit key inventory.
  • Manage vehicle registrations, permit sales, and database entries for parking.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to develop strategic parking plans and resources.
  • Draft and implement college-wide parking regulations and appeal procedures.
  • Process permit and violation payments, liaise with Residence Life and Security on enforcement, and coordinate with the Student Judiciary Board on appeals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for parking inquiries and lead student communications on key policies and dates.
  • Hire, train, and schedule parking student employees.
  • Sort, route, and distribute incoming mail, packages, intercampus communications, and confidential materials.
  • Handle mailbox assignments, combinations, and Jenzabar updates, managing the annual year-end reset and mail forwarding.
  • Prepare special, express, registered, and bulk mailings, ensuring adherence to postal regulations, fees, and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain postage meter and labeling equipment, keep service records, and schedule vendor repairs.
  • Track and calculate department-specific postal expenditures and submit report data to the Business Office.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for campus inquiries regarding postal procedures, shipping rates, and mailing guidelines.
