About The Position

This position is responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the Assisted Living department, including supervising staff, managing budgets, assessing new residents, overseeing resident care and medication dispensing, and ensuring the department's appearance and compliance with state regulations. The role involves direct and indirect staff management, cost control, resident and family communication, and participation in level of care meetings. A background screening through the State of Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, including interviewing, selection, training, motivation, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, and management of policies and procedures.
• Responsible for strategic planning and operations of the department, implementing cost control measures, and meeting budget goals.
• Assists with the assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or from outside into Assisted Living.
• Responsible for the appearance of the Assisted Living Department.
• Participates in Level of Care meetings.
• Manages the day-to-day needs of residents, communicates needs or changes to family members, and conducts family meetings related to residents.
• Oversees medication dispensing and handling, ensures proper medication inventory levels are maintained, and that audits are performed regularly.
• Oversees monthly MORS.
