About The Position

Lead university-wide education & institutional assessment efforts to ensure continuous improvement, student success and institutional compliance with institutional accrediting bodies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in higher education, education research, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of assessment related experience in higher education.
  • Familiarity with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with research methods and statistical techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others, including establishing positive cross functional working relationships with a diverse group of University stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
  • Must pass a background check.

  • Academic leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ellucian Colleague ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update as needed, and ensure implementation of the university assessment plan, assessment manual, and standardized assessment templates.
  • Coordinate the preparation of university-wide assessment and accreditation efforts.
  • Serve on the University Assessment Committee (UAC).
  • Complete the annual Academic, Non-Academic Assessment, and Institutional assessment reports.
  • Maintain, update as needed, and document all academic, general education, and non-academic assessment processes, cycles, and timelines in a centralized master assessment calendar.
  • Offer and identify professional development sessions for faculty and staff.
  • Utilize an assessment management system to support data collection, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Maintain internal-facing digital assessment sites that document university-wide assessment activities, and that support faculty and staff engaged in assessment work.
  • Maintain the university’s assessment website and ensure that all information is accurate.
  • Ensure that all institutional and program learning outcomes for all academic programs and the General Education Curriculum are publicly available.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Research and academic program accreditation activities as needed.
  • Serve on University committees, taskforces, workgroups, etc. as designated.
  • Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required.
