About The Position

NewVista Health and Wellness is recruiting a Director of Assessment and Intake for Ethan Crossing of Indianapolis, a premier Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Center. The role involves performing the evaluation and admission process in conjunction with the on-call physician, directing assessment department activities, and monitoring service quality. The position requires flexibility, excellent customer service, the ability to review clinical information and present it to the physician, and comfort with data entry into Medik and Salesforce, as well as insurance verification. The Director must understand urgency and perform well in stressful situations.

Requirements

Must be licensed as a Social Worker (LCSW/LISW,/LSW/MSW).
Must have clinical experience as an LCSW.
Strong clinical assessment skills.
At least 1 year of experience working in a hospital Intake department; behavioral health or SUD preferred.
Ability to deal tactfully with a team of inter-disciplinary professionals, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Valid driver’s license and a favourable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own vehicle.
CPR and Handle with Care (HWC) certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Performs the evaluation and admission process in conjunction with the on-call physician.
Directs the assessment department activities.
Monitors the quality of services provided.
Reviews clinical information and presents it to the physician on call.
Enters information into Medik and Salesforce.
Verifies insurance coverage.
Understands urgency and works well in stressful situations.
