Rosie’s Place was founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States. Its mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity, and find security in their lives. Over the years, it has become a multi-service community center offering meals, shelter, and a wide range of support, housing, and education services. Rosie’s Place relies on generous support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, and does not accept any government funding. The Director of Annual Fund reports to the Director of Development and is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and growth of Rosie’s Place’s annual fund programs. This role supervises staff and oversees annual fund revenue streams, including special events, direct mail, recurring giving, employee campaigns, and matching gifts. Additionally, the Director provides strategic oversight of gift processing, donor acknowledgment, and fundraising database operations.
