Director of Alumni Engagement & Impact (Immediate Opening)

IDEA Public Schools•Weslaco, TX

About The Position

The Director of Alumni Engagement & Impact will build, test, and codify IDEA Public Schools’ strategy for lifelong, reciprocal alumni engagement. The role focuses on Legacy alumni seven or more years beyond high school and bachelor’s degree earners, mobilizing them to contribute time, service, and financial support to current K–12 students and undergraduate alumni. The Director will develop an engagement model intended to serve 70,000 alumni by 2035 and demonstrate alumni impact on one another, their communities, and the world. This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with preference for candidates in specified Texas communities or those willing to relocate. Travel is up to 30 percent, primarily within Texas, for alumni events, council meetings, school and regional partnerships, college partner sites, and quarterly in-person meetings. Evening and weekend events are part of the role. The Director leads the Alumni Success Coordinators (ARC) team and serves on the Alumni Success Senior Team, reporting to the MD of Alumni Success. This position has no Year 1–6 coaching caseload; it owns engagement strategy and the alumni network, and recommends rather than decides on uses of coaching-team resources. The role sets engagement goals and reports results, develops alumni participation pathways, builds the Alumni Council, and creates partnerships that support alumni and current students. The Director collaborates across IDEA and with external organizations, maintains alumni records in Salesforce, and contributes to senior-team planning and scorecard reviews.
