Director of AI SecOps
About The Position
VerSprite is seeking a Director of AI SecOps to lead the application of artificial intelligence across client-facing cybersecurity services. This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role focused on using AI technologies and software development expertise to address complex automation challenges, improve cybersecurity operations, and deliver scalable client solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering knowledge and AI expertise with proven technical leadership and the ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders. This is not a traditional software development leadership position; the focus is on applying AI and technical expertise to improve cybersecurity service delivery. The role is remote and open to international candidates only. Preferred locations include Argentina, Poland, Italy, Romania, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. Other international locations may be considered based on experience.
Requirements
- Strong prior software development experience.
- Experience applying AI technologies to complex technical challenges.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, automation, and system integration.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong client-facing experience, including communication with senior executives.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in cybersecurity operations or security engineering.
- Experience with threat modeling.
- Experience with AI-driven security automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern development environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI-driven automation initiatives for client-facing cybersecurity services.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI models and software engineering techniques to solve client challenges.
- Guide the development and implementation of AI-powered security solutions.
- Lead and mentor software engineers and technical cybersecurity professionals.
- Provide technical guidance on system architecture, integration, and automation.
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate solutions.
- Collaborate with VerSprite leadership on technical priorities and service innovation.
