About The Position

Pathway To Possible (P2P) is a public-private partnership nonprofit organization with a 53-year history of serving low-income adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities in the Newton and Wellesley area. Our mission is to provide housing, support, and advocacy for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities - and their families - while erasing barriers, building confidence, empowering independence, and expanding opportunities that enrich their lives and their communities. P2P operates five residential group homes that are staffed 24/7, and one Independent Living home. It is an exciting and significant juncture in P2P’s organizational history. The agency currently fundraises approximately 10% of its total annual budget ($6.5M) and is poised to expand its private philanthropic efforts to further manage fluctuations in public funding. The agency and its Board of Directors have worked through significant, strategic changes in the past five years, and P2P’s signature event, the annual Autumn Auction, has doubled its gross revenue since 2021. P2P also has a strong portfolio of Foundation partners, with additional opportunity to expand those relationships and nurture new Foundation partners. P2P’s development shop is compact but effective, and the right candidate will bring vision, flexibility, good spirit, and balance to the role.
