About The Position

The Division of Congenital Heart Program within the Department of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Director for its Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Program. This role involves overseeing and expanding the clinical, educational, and research aspects of ACHD care across the Cedars-Sinai Health System. The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards in patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and operational efficiency for a growing population of adults with congenital heart disease. The program collaborates closely with pediatric and fetal cardiology, advanced cardiovascular imaging, structural heart disease, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure and transplant, and cardiac surgery teams to provide comprehensive care from fetal diagnosis through adulthood. The ACHD Program offers outpatient consultative care, advanced cardiac imaging, catheter-based and surgical interventions, and management of complex conditions. The Director will also focus on maximizing research productivity and mentoring fellows and junior faculty. Collaboration with various specialized departments is a priority. The position includes participation in outpatient and inpatient consultative care. The ACHD Program is experiencing growth due to advances in pediatric congenital heart disease treatment, leading to increased survival into adulthood. Cedars-Sinai's integrated congenital heart program is well-positioned to leverage this growth. The Director will have opportunities to expand referral networks, develop innovative care models, and enhance access to specialized ACHD services. Requirements

  • Medical Degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certified with the ABIM in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Subspecialty board certification or equivalent expertise in Adult Congenital Heart Disease
  • Eligible for an unrestricted California license as Physician
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of California
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
  • Eligible for appointment to Associate Professor or Professor academic rank in the CSMC professorial series
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff
  • Proficiency in the comprehensive clinical management of adults with congenital heart disease, including diagnostic and procedural skills relevant to ACHD care
  • Candidates should be recognized for the provision of clinical excellence
  • A track-record of peer-reviewed publications and a plan to continue performing and supervising academic work
