About The Position

Cotulla Education, which includes the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, Tidewater Tech, and American Lineman College, is seeking a Director of Admissions. This role is responsible for leading the daily operations and performance of the campus Admissions team to achieve enrollment goals while ensuring a high-quality, student-centered experience. The Director will oversee the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, and will develop and coach a team of Admissions professionals. This is a hands-on, metrics-driven position requiring a leader who can balance team development, operational oversight, and direct involvement in the enrollment process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing performance, analyzing data, and holding a team accountable to results, all while maintaining a consultative, ethical, and student-focused admissions approach. This role is based on-site at one of over 20 locations and is not remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of management experience or proven leadership in a relevant role, demonstrating a track record of effectively guiding teams, driving performance, and achieving organizational goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a patient approach to resolving admissions challenges
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven integrity and professionalism in all interactions
  • Excellent persuasive communication abilities with a strong focus on customer/student satisfaction
  • Highly motivated with a passion for achieving goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a successful Admissions Representative on campus
  • Proven ability to manage an Admissions team in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented environment
  • Experience with CampusVue software

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Admissions Representatives and support staff.
  • Set clear expectations, monitor daily activity, and hold team members accountable to performance goals.
  • Lead by example through active participation in the admissions process, including interviewing and enrolling prospective students.
  • Execute campus-level strategies to meet or exceed enrollment targets.
  • Track, analyze, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics across the admissions funnel.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase conversion rates, and optimize team performance.
  • Ensure performance expectations are achieved while maintaining a student-first, consultative admissions approach.
  • Oversee the full inquiry-to-enrollment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for prospective students.
  • Ensure timely follow-up, appointment setting, interviewing, application processing, and orientation attendance.
  • Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and ethical admissions practices.
  • Ensure all admissions activities align with company policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in CampusVue, including required documentation and audit readiness.
  • Train and support staff on systems, processes, and compliance expectations.
  • Partner with Financial Services, Career Services, Academics, and Campus Leadership to support student enrollment and success.
  • Contribute to campus-wide initiatives and overall performance goals.
  • Support local outreach efforts including career fairs, events, and community partnerships.
  • Encourage team participation in activities that generate prospective student interest.
