Fortis College in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Director for its Admissions Department. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of admissions and/or sales management experience.
  • Direct educational admissions leadership experience required.
  • Demonstration of highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects including appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to develop, motivate, and lead staff.
  • Capability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines.
  • Ability to lead and work in an observation/coaching training style environment.
  • Creativity and ability to work independently.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers.
  • Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Must have past record of integrity that would ensure compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Admissions Department using sound business principles.
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental, accreditation, and company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the overall administration of interviewing, enrolling, starting, and retaining new students.
  • Communicate with other departments to convey student needs.
  • Participate as a team player with the campus’ executive team and within the college environment.
  • Uphold and ensure representatives uphold the core values of the school and the highest standards of ethics and truthfulness in providing information to prospective students regarding educational programs, facilities, educational costs, financial aid and completion/graduation/placement and earning data.
  • Document representatives’ reviews through interviews and phone observations.
  • Conduct annual reviews with representatives.
