About The Position

The Director of Accreditation and Readiness is the system-level operational owner of continuous accreditation and regulatory readiness, accountable for building and sustaining a proactive, integrated, and operationally embedded accreditation and regulatory readiness infrastructure across Singing River Health System. This role translates complex regulatory and accreditation requirements into reliable, day-to-day operations that protect patients, reduce organizational risk, and ensure sustained accreditation and certification outcomes. Serving as the internal subject matter expert, the Director educates and aligns stakeholders from the boardroom to the bedside and functions as the primary bridge between quality, operations, legal, and governance. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi.
  • De-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ clinical nursing, management, and leadership experience required.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance required.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ acute care clinical experience evidenced by a broad base of clinical knowledge preferred.
