As the Financial Controller, you are responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring fiscal integrity, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting enterprise-wide decision-making. You will lead a team of finance professionals, oversee key financial processes, and partner cross-functionally to drive performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or MBA preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
Work Cards Nevada Gaming Registration

Nice To Haves

hospitality or multi-unit industry experience preferred
Familiarity with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms
Experience with Workday is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Accounting and Finance departments, ensuring alignment with company vision, financial goals, and service standards
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth
Lead the execution of finance-related initiatives by converting strategic objectives into actionable plans with defined performance indicators
Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy
Monitor and manage departmental budgets, forecasting, financial performance metrics, and cost control strategies to drive efficiency and profitability
Review balance sheet account reconciliations and financial reporting packages; ensure timely resolution of variances or discrepancies
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process for all non-gaming related revenues
Manage payroll functions and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
Coordinate internal and external audits, maintaining positive relationships with state, local, and public accounting representatives
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and enforce adherence to company policies and applicable regulations
Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and operational departments, offering insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
