Director of Accounting Operations

PGLS
•$115,000 - $135,000

About The Position

The Director of Accounting Operations reports directly to the CFO and leads the day-to-day operation of Piedmont Global’s Accounting department. The role is accountable for the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the department’s work; directs and assigns staff accountants; and maintains the department’s controls, logs, and performance measures. It relieves the Controller of operational management so the Controller can focus on the integrity of the books. The Director partners closely with the Controller, Financial Reporting, AP and AR Leads, and the technology, people, and contracts teams. The role coordinates accounting for entities that are not yet fully integrated, ensuring timely delivery of results and incorporating them into Piedmont Global’s financials. It also improves department operations by documenting and mapping processes and identifying opportunities for AI and automation. The position is budgeted at an annual salary of $115,000–$135,000. Candidates will complete an approximately 10-minute AI screening as part of the interview process.
