About The Position

Assist the CNO in providing leadership to nurse employees that will enroll their support, create ownership of goals and have them actively participate in decisions that impact the hospital. Assist the CNO in maintaining regulatory compliance approvals and quality accreditation. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care; advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Directs the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Generally manages professional staff. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
  • MSN degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing management or directorship.
  • Current BLS.
  • Successful experience in a work setting that consistently requires interaction with multiple and diverse people and management of details with high degree of accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands, short timeframes, and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize demanding work load and balance multiple concurrent expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with administrators, physicians, peers and all members of the health care team.
  • Computer competency including Word, Excel, and ability to extract data.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
