About The Position
Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking a Director of Nursing Services for its new Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) future site in Philadelphia, PA. This role is responsible for providing leadership and management of the hybrid ABSN learning site, collaborating with university and healthcare partners. Key responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, proctoring, skills laboratory, clinical placement, compliance, and simulation activities. The target hire date is July 2026, with the program launching in September 2027.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Graduate degree in nursing.
- Earned doctoral degree in nursing or a related field.
- PA RN license, unencumbered.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing practice with demonstrated accountability for outcomes.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including personnel supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (including clinical teaching) at the baccalaureate level or higher in nursing.
- Support the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development of clinical, lab, and simulation activities to meet organizational and university partner goals.
- Establish and maintain organizational systems for measuring operational management and development.
- Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans.
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff, ensuring qualifications, certifications, and requirements are met.
- Secure and manage equipment and supplies for clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
- Collaborate with the ABSN Director to ensure service delivery to students.
- Ensure activities comply with quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and other regulatory requirements.
