About The Position

Senior station leader responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, operational nuclear safety, risk management, licensed operator performance, outage execution, and regulatory compliance. This role involves ensuring compliance with NRC regulations, Technical Specifications, procedures, and fleet standards. The Director will provide leadership for licensed and non-licensed operators and all operational decision-making, while maintaining operational excellence, conduct of operations, configuration control, and risk management. Key responsibilities include leading startup, shutdown, power operations, testing, maintenance support, and outage activities, as well as supporting NRC, INPO, and corporate assessments and corrective actions. The role also encompasses developing and maintaining qualified operator staffing, licensing, requalification, and succession programs, and directing operational readiness for emergencies, severe weather, grid events, and equipment challenges. Additionally, the Director will lead operational support for refueling and forced outages, including startup and return-to-service activities, manage department O&M and outage budgets, forecasting, and cost performance, and drive cross-functional teamwork, continuous improvement, and leadership development.

Requirements

  • 8+ years commercial nuclear experience
  • 4+ years leadership experience in nuclear operations
  • Strong knowledge of reactor operations, risk management, emergency preparedness, chemistry, and NRC requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Current or previous SRO License/Certification preferred.
