"Leading the World with Innovative Healthcare Solutions that Enhance Lives" The North American Logistics Director will participate in designing and managing a logistics strategy that integrates with the supply chain, minimizes total costs, and provides superior customer service, while overseeing a team across LTL, TL, small parcel, and drayage departments.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of global transportation experience, including knowledge of: High volume multi-mode service on outbound.
  • Experience negotiating freight contracts (inbound and outbound).
  • Experience configuring routing processes and systems that optimize execution across service and cost alternatives.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated analytical and complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues tactically while developing strategic resolutions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the implementation of transportation management systems (TMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the execution of end-to-end logistics strategies, including freight negotiations and contracting across all modes in North America, including LTL, TL, small parcel, and drayage
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create a reliable, agile network that ensures the best service and customer experience at the lowest total cost.
  • Ensuring alignment with supply chain stakeholders and processes.
  • Participating in monthly and quarterly reviews of logistics, which includes service, cost, governance, and related issues.
  • Managing the development of outbound logistics financial plans and budgets.
  • Developing governance and KPI’s that ensure accountability and drive improved performance, in order to facilitate data-driven business decisions and the reporting of performance against plans, budgets, and strategic objectives.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, service providers, and industry experts.
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for domestic logistics within the company
  • Developing and refining related processes, including cost analysis and freight audit and pay.
  • Ensuring data capture and accuracy that support finance.
  • Regularly present KPI’s and network updates to Sr. leadership
  • All other duties as assigned
