About The Position

Leads the development, governance, and execution of site-based sustaining capital projects across the North America mining portfolio. Provides strategic oversight of project and portfolio management activities to ensure efficient capital deployment, alignment with business priorities, and delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective projects. Serves as a key interface between site operations, plant engineering, and corporate leadership, driving consistent application of project standards, disciplined capital allocation (including AFE strategy), and strong performance management across sustaining capital initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or related field and fifteen (15) years experience in engineering and/or project management including sustaining capital project delivery
  • This position requires the selected candidate to be based in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Up to 75% travel is required, consisting primarily of domestic travel, with approximately 25% international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle management of sustaining capital projects across multiple North America sites, ensuring alignment with operational needs and long-term asset strategies.
  • Establish and enforce project governance frameworks and provide assurance of scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Lead quarterly budget development and partner with finance to optimize capital allocation.
  • Oversee AFE strategy ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with business priorities. Monitor project cost performance and establish KPIs and reporting.
  • Oversee early-stage scoping, feasibility, and execution planning.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to drive alignment and perform other duties as required.
