About The Position

The Director, Network Serviceability is a results-driven and innovative leader that guides a specialized team focused on automating the process of selling connectivity services through the utilization of GIS, Connectbase, and other location-based intelligence. This role involves overseeing data management, automation, analysis, and platform administration to enhance sales and network serviceability. Segra is one of the largest independent fiber network companies in the nation, able to offer state-of-the-art communication solutions backed by always-on customer service. Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecom required
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within telecom.
  • Strong expertise in GIS software and tools, with a deep understanding of telecom industry standards and practices.
  • Experience with data management, automation tools, and analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in using Connectbase and CRM systems for data integration.
  • Familiarity with CLLI - Common Language Identifier codes
  • Understanding of network interconnection topologies and architectures
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team to drive automation initiatives for connectivity services, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Oversee the management and accuracy of ON NET and Near Net building lists, integrating this data into the Segra CRM system.
  • Oversee and mentor a team that manages Carrier projects and provides customer sales support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement location-based intelligence solutions that support network planning and sales activities.
  • Utilize GIS software for data analysis, visualization, and mapping to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance across platforms, driving best practices in data management and automation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower team members in the use of GIS tools and telecom industry knowledge.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to leverage advancements in GIS and automation for enhanced business operations.
