About The Position

As a member of the management team and in collaboration with the Medical Director dyad partner, the John Muir Health Physician Practices (JMHPP) Director, Multi-Specialty Practice Operations is a subject matter expert in multi-specialty practice operations and is responsible for the management of Multi-Specialty operations and programmatic development. This role is responsible for the execution of metric-driven and high performing practice operations. The Director of Practice Operations works in partnership with the Vice President of Practice Operations, Performance Improvement team, peer Executive Director team, and physician leadership to provide operational direction and administrative leadership across specialty locations. The Director oversees provider, patient and staff experience in partnership with their dedicated physician dyad and drives industry leading performance by implementing budgetary, operational, and strategic plans for all Multi-Specialty divisions. The Director participates in a cross-continuum service line structure with Multi-Specialty Service Line Executive Directors and provides input into ambulatory strategy development, specifically for specialty and service line strategies for growth and operational improvements. The Director will measure the success of practice performance against financial, operational, and clinical performance metrics and benchmarks identified by the JMHPP leadership team and will develop and implement course correction activities as needed. The Director enforces standardized operations across all assigned practice sites and ensures adherence to policies and procedures set forth by senior leadership. The Director is also responsible for the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives developed by JMHPP leadership across practice sites, inclusive of service line priorities. Additionally, the Director collaborates with Medical Group Leadership and foundation-based physicians to optimize practice operations, clinical quality measures, patient flow, access, revenue cycle (as applicable), and overall financial health. The Director is also responsible for performance results in patient, provider, and staff experience through upholding and promoting internal and external service standards. In support of a high-performing staff, the Director facilitates professional development through practice manager training and mentorship. The Director reports to the JMHPP Vice President, Practice Operations. Direct reports for this role are assigned practice managers supervisors and RN Regional Manager. The Director operates the practices in partnership with the Medical Director dyad, focusing on administrative, business, and operational items while the Medical Director focuses on clinical and provider-specific items. The Director serves as the single point of contact for high-level practice site course correction implementations, operational partnerships, and metric-driven practice reporting. The scope of this position includes managing and visiting all practice sites within the assigned region to ensure best practice operations are being implemented and followed and to foster professional relationships with the staff and providers. The Director of Multi-Specialty Practice Operations is responsible for maintaining productive relationships with hospital service line directors/executive directors, practice managers directors, performance improvement/programmatic, strategic and marketing leadership. The Multi-Specialty Practice Operations Director will also manage Joint Venture relationships by acting as the key point of contact for JV leadership.

Nice To Haves

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $174,615.00 - $261,922.00
  • Salary Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
  • Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
