About the Optical Merchandising Team The Optical Merchandising team ensures Walmart's optical business delivers exceptional value, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We balance art and science - blending data analysis, operational planning, and strategic partnerships to meet customer needs and achieve business goals. As Director, you'll drive initiatives that streamline operations, enhance merchandising execution, and fuel the growth of Walmart's Optical division.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in modular planning, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with tools such as Scintilla and Tableau.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and aligning business processes.
  • Ability to translate insights into action, driving innovation and operational improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Merchandising, or related field and 5 years' experience in business management, merchandising, or related area OR 7 years' experience in business management, merchandising, or related area.
  • 1 year's supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory plans and financial performance, ensuring optimal stock levels and category profitability.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance merchandising systems and processes through innovation.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team while fostering collaboration across merchandising, finance, and operations.
