About The Position

The Director of Mental Health provides strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management for all mental health services within the organization. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with organizational goals. The Director will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop programs, and drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as a Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent independent clinical license in the state where services are provided
  • Clinical experience, including supervisory or leadership experience (correctional or institutional experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based mental health practices and correctional health care standards
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
  • Provides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC.
  • Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention
  • Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice
  • Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
  • Completes required orientation as directed by the facility
  • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
  • Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
  • Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
  • Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
  • Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for all mental health programs and clinical services
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate mental health programs and initiatives
  • Provide clinical services, evaluations, and treatments as part of the overall department workload
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical and administrative staff
  • Attend facility meetings with medical, custody and civilian staff
  • Develop a procedure for the collection of monthly department statistics
  • Establish and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement measures
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational growth
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing plans in coordination with the facility Health Services Administrator (HSA)
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations, stakeholders, and external providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and data analysis to support decision-making
  • Other duties as assigned.
