Requirements

  • Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in multiple job areas.
  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience and 7+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries.
  • Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of business and product development.
  • Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
  • Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
  • Coordinates with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.
  • May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs.
  • Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
  • Manages one or more major, developing programs for critical functions across one or more regions that require development and coordination of new program plans or delivery methods with little precedence.
  • Is accountable for overall program unit success.
  • Establishes program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets.
  • Establishes new policies and procedures that affect program management.
  • Has budget accountability for one or more major programs.
  • Program decisions are generally made independently with strategic or costly decisions recommended to higher level management.
  • Enhances programs management processes to substantially improve programs.
  • Communicates and conducts briefings with senior or executive leadership regarding critical program outcomes.
  • Represents one or more programs as the primary internal and external contact and makes recommendations to leaders and executives.
  • Influences across functions and businesses to negotiate and gain cooperation on new proposals and programs with divergent objectives.
