The Marketing Director is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of insurance marketing strategies that foster business growth, both in terms of revenue & headcount. This Director oversees the day-to-day operation of Insurance and Financial Services activities while coordinating the execution of marketing strategies through direct reports. This will be accomplished through strong collaboration with senior leadership, peers within the marketing team, as well as establishing strong knowledge of the insurance and financial services industries. What you will do: Provide leadership to the function and/or staff, ensuring proper staffing and training levels of all team members with a focus on development and building bench strength while also complying with appropriate professional standards, laws, regulations and operating within the Club’s mission, leadership values and the members’ interest. Develop multi-year plans/budgets and manages the integration of all aspects of the function across all required Business Lines and geographies supported; maintaining knowledge and awareness of new developments in the function, potential applications to further Club initiatives and makes recommendations regarding the use of internal vs. external services, reporting on such activities and proposals and managing ongoing vendor relationships. Develop and implement tactical marketing plans that support the short and long-term goals of the operation; ensuring campaigns are established to assist in the operation’s ability to achieve sales objectives that may focus on new and existing members, policies, and/or sales, while maintaining overall member satisfaction and brand integrity. Makes recommendations for process improvement, marketing strategies and staff development. Manage the financial aspects of campaign development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Oversee and evaluate daily operation and workflow of the marketing team. Assigns work based on role, proficiency, aptitude and schedule. Acts as advisor and mentor, sharing best practices for marketing activities and responsibilities; responsible for their professional development, resulting in optimal marketing support for business line. Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing staff Continuously evaluate and measure campaigns to drive new initiatives and tactical deliverables, recommending mid-course corrections as necessary. Consult with other groups in marketing, e-Business, and external agencies to leverage creative, analytics, research, digital and direct marketing expertise to deliver marketing programs that result in improved ROI for the Club and its business lines. Ensure deadlines are met and media is produced at a high standard of quality. Partners with E-Business and Digital Marketing to coordinate promotion activities across the growing span of AAA’s digital and mobile platforms including mobile app, web/mobile web, social media, and search engine traffic (SEO/SEM). Manage business line-specific project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Develop or update project plans, and monitor or track project milestones, and deliverables. Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
