About The Position

As the Director of Marketing at Jazwares, you will spearhead the global strategy, planning, and execution for our most iconic brands. Reporting to the Senior Director, you'll lead a high-performing team to drive fan engagement and global sales through world-class campaigns. We’re looking for a strategic powerhouse with a proven track record in content production, large-scale activations, and influencer marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, or another related field highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing, digital marketing, or media experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience is required.
  • Previous experience working in consumer-packaged goods, toys, entertainment or agency experience required.
  • Previous creative agency experience with campaign strategy, development and execution.
  • Experience delivering best-in-class creative in support of impactful brand moments and marketing campaigns.
  • Passionate about pop culture, trends and social media.
  • Strong presentation skills, with advanced skill in PowerPoint or keynote
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts, consumer behavior, and brand positioning.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer data to inform strategy.
  • Ability to craft long-term marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage teams, provide guidance, and develop talent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple marketing campaigns and projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Strong skills in interpreting data and making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing performance.
  • Ability to think outside the box to develop innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Strong decision-making ability, especially in high-pressure environments where marketing outcomes impact business results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust strategies based on market changes.
  • In cases where the company operates in multiple regions, the ability to manage global marketing strategies while being sensitive to local markets.
  • Strong proficiency in google workspace/Microsoft office

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and oversee execution for integrated marketing plans that build brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Lead the development and execution of global brand campaigns, including events and activations, paid media, e-commerce marketing, and content development as it relates to overall brand positioning and responsibilities under the marketing umbrella.
  • Partner closely with the Retail Development and Sales/E-commerce teams to align goals and execute strategic campaigns.
  • Responsible for the development of effective and efficient media plans and analyzing reporting.
  • Effectively monitors and reports on industry event and pop cultural trends, including developments in talent/celebrity, brands, design, strategy and innovation to develop effective marketing strategies.
  • Ensures that all consumer communication is on-strategy and consistent across all touchpoints, including commercials, digital media content, PR, retail/e-commerce and events/activations.
  • Partner closely with the Director, Social Media & Partnerships to develop cohesive marketing plans and strategies and create synergy across all marketing campaign touchpoints.
  • Must be a strong team leader with great communication skills and the ability to inspire employees to be creative and effective in a very fast paced environment.
  • Must have strong presentation skills and proactive communication among internal and external executives and team members
  • Leads collaboration across a variety of cross-functional teams including Brand, Sales, Retail Development, PR, and Creative.
  • Oversees project timelines, deliverables and approval process internally and externally (including Licensors).
  • Oversees the planning & development of media and creative strategy and campaign briefs
  • Partners with internal teams and external agencies to deliver world-class marketing campaigns that exceed business objectives
  • Utilizes POS Data, Shopper and other research to develop and optimize media and marketing plans
  • Measure, analyze and communicate campaign success metrics & report results to leadership & key stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This position will be responsible for all aspects of talent management for their team.
  • This role is responsible for building strong relationships, promoting collaboration, and helping their team grow and develop.
