About The Position

The Marketing Director reports to the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) and partners closely with executive leadership, medical staff, clinical leaders, and operational teams to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies that support growth, brand positioning, and patient engagement. Serving as a strategic bridge between Aspen Valley Health and the broader community, this role ensures all marketing initiatives align with AVH's mission, values, strategy, and brand standards while driving community awareness and organizational visibility. The Director fosters a collaborative, agile, and high-performing team culture through effective people leadership, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, accountability, performance management, and professional development, while also improving operational efficiency, accelerating execution, and ensuring marketing efforts are measurable, responsive, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects, priorities, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong understanding of resort, tourism, and mountain community dynamics, including community engagement, visitor populations, and regional market trends.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare marketing or healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing, communications, public relations, or related leadership experience.
  • Experience working within resort, hospitality, tourism, or destination-based communities preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
