The Director Market Development is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve targeted sales numbers and successfully execute goals and strategies. This role involves coaching team members on sales techniques, territory planning, and CRM utilization. The Director will travel with team members to provide coaching, build customer relationships, and identify areas for improvement. They will also conduct sales meetings, support new hires, and foster a positive culture of growth and development to ensure team retention. Additionally, the Director will actively recruit top talent. This role requires ensuring successful territory achievement by increasing market share and growth through strategic planning and execution, tracking results, and holding the team accountable to standards. The Director will foster and coach the importance of account management and progression, engage in the execution of business plans, and develop strategies to improve performance. As a sales leader, they will provide direction, collaborate with internal partners, and build professional relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals, physician offices, post-acute care, and assisted living communities. They will identify opportunities through analysis and market needs, capitalize on market opportunities, and leverage healthcare and market knowledge for growth. Collaboration with internal teams such as marketing, patient care, clinical, and compliance is essential, as is partnering with the medical director/regional medical director on physician relationships and utilizing central support departments for business development. The Director will present program statistics and strategies to senior management quarterly.
