About The Position

The Director, Market Development is responsible for identifying, developing and expanding strategic relationships with healthcare organizations across assigned markets. This leader serves as a trusted advisor to hospital and health system executives, helping them address complex workforce challenges through Aya Healthcare’s comprehensive portfolio of talent, technology and workforce solutions. The role requires a relationship-driven, consultative professional who can engage senior healthcare leaders, understand organizational priorities and connect those priorities to measurable solutions involving workforce optimization, staffing, recruitment, technology, cost management and patient-care support. This is a remote position that requires the employee to live in the Boston area. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, nursing or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, strategic sales, consulting, staffing, workforce solutions or health-system partnerships
• Demonstrated success selling complex solutions to hospitals, health systems or other healthcare organizations
• Proven ability to establish relationships with senior executives and influence decisions across multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, labor economics, workforce strategy and the challenges facing providers
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication and relationship-management skills
• Ability to translate complex workforce challenges into clear, compelling business solutions
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned market and nationally as needed

Nice To Haves

• Experience with managed service provider programs, vendor management systems, healthcare staffing, workforce technology or permanent recruitment
• Existing relationships with hospital and health-system executives
• Experience selling enterprise-level solutions across multiple facilities or service lines
• Familiarity with healthcare finance, labor productivity, contingent workforce spend and workforce analytics
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a related discipline

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market-development strategies that drive new business, revenue growth and long-term client partnerships
• Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives and senior leaders in nursing, human resources, finance, operations, supply chain, workforce management and clinical services
• Identify healthcare organizations experiencing challenges related to labor costs, staffing shortages, contingent workforce utilization, recruitment, retention, scheduling or workforce capacity
• Present Aya as a strategic workforce partner rather than a traditional staffing vendor
• Position and coordinate the appropriate Aya solutions, including: Managed service provider programs, Nursing and allied health staffing, Locum tenens and physician recruitment, Permanent recruitment solutions, Workforce management technology, Float pool and on-demand staffing solutions, Workforce AI, analytics and predictive planning, International talent and direct-hire programs, Advisory, payrolling and workforce-disruption services
• Lead consultative discovery meetings, executive presentations, demonstrations, proposal development and customer negotiations
• Partner with Business Development to develop executive-level business cases that demonstrate measurable value, including improved fulfillment, reduced premium labor expense, increased workforce visibility, stronger retention and improved operational efficiency
• Monitor healthcare labor-market trends, competitive activity, regional workforce dynamics and emerging client needs
• Represent Aya at healthcare conferences, executive forums, industry events and strategic networking opportunities
