About The Position

The role of Director (Marine Resources) is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on one of Tasmania’s most important economic and environmental sectors while helping deliver a sustainable future for the State. This role involves strategic leadership of the Aquaculture Branch and support to the broader Marine Resources Strategic Business Unit, ensuring best practice management of a team that provides high-level technical and policy advice to government. The Director will lead experts in developing policy and programs in response to marine stressor events, administer Tasmania’s marine farming and living marine resources regulatory functions, and build strong relationships across industry, government, research, and community sectors to foster collaboration and innovation in marine resource management.
