Director/Managing Director

Prospect Rock PartnersNew York, NY

About The Position

This is the company's highest hiring priority. The successful candidate will lead a $1.5B capital raise, working directly with the founding team and representing the platform to the capital markets. The role carries full ownership of strategy, relationships, and outcomes, with scope to build the capital formation function as the platform scales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in capital markets, private credit, structured finance, debt capital markets, credit fund or warehouse origination, or a related institutional credit or capital-raising role.
  • Direct experience with institutional credit due-diligence processes — you understand what private credit funds, warehouse lenders, or bank credit teams need to get a facility approved.
  • Strong relationships across institutional credit providers (private credit funds, warehouse lenders, banks), or a clear ability to build into them quickly.
  • Deep fluency in credit and capital markets — facility structures, advance rates, covenants, collateral, and credit risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the executive presence to represent the platform to sophisticated credit counterparties.
  • A track record of supporting or closing institutional credit facilities or large-ticket transactions.
  • Self-directed, high-agency, and comfortable operating with minimal process in a fast-moving startup.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-to-1 experience launching or standing up new capital-raise vehicles or channels (e.g. an ETF, RIA/advisor network, fund, or SMA) — complementary to the core credit-raising function.
  • Familiarity with structured credit, securitization, or warehouse facility structures.
  • Background or interest in AI infrastructure, GPU compute, or adjacent technology sectors.
  • Exposure to digital assets or DeFi (helpful, but not required).
  • Fluency in Mandarin.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the institutional credit-raising pipeline — from first conversations with credit providers, through diligence, to close and ongoing relationship management.
  • Shepherd the platform through deep institutional credit review.
  • Run the due-diligence processes that private credit funds, warehouse lenders, and other institutional providers require — assembling, organizing, and presenting the materials their credit teams and investment committees need to approve a facility.
  • Lead syndication and facility formation.
  • Help structure and close warehouse lines and private credit facilities, and support formation of the syndicates behind them.
  • Build and maintain relationships with private credit funds, warehouse lenders, banks, and other institutional debt providers.
  • Work closely with the Founders and the Originations team — active participants in these processes — to source the loan-level data, documentation, and narrative credit reviewers ask for.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the platform's protocol, loan and collateral framework, and yield mechanics, so you can speak credibly with sophisticated credit counterparties.
  • Represent the platform at industry conferences, summits, and lender and investor events.
  • Maintain a clean, current CRM pipeline with accurate deal stages, contact notes, and forecasted facility sizes and timelines, and feed market intelligence back to the team — what credit committees are asking for, what structures and terms providers want, and what is moving institutional credit right now.
  • Coordinate with compliance, legal, and onboarding to keep KYC/AML and facility documentation moving.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $250,000–$325,000, depending on experience.
  • Meaningful equity with real upside — a significant ownership stake in a fast-growing, well-backed company (investors include Coinbase Ventures and PayPal), with a clear thesis for how that equity appreciates over the coming years.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Health & wellness reimbursements.
