A Director of Product Management is responsible for interfacing and partnering with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, and marketing, and is the owner of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a given portfolio of capabilities. This leader plays a critical role in creating the strategy, coordinating delivery, and managing the business value and commercial performance of our core learning offering, including user adoption, engagement, revenue growth, retention, and bookings for their product line. You will be responsible for the customer experience and product strategy for your product line, including end‑to‑end results for that line. This includes defining the product vision, roadmap, release definition and delivery, and helping build the broader portfolio vision and business strategy around it in partnership with other product leaders. The successful candidate will be naturally cross-functional and detail oriented, as they will play a pivotal role in ensuring alignment between product management, experience design, engineering, content production, customers, and business stakeholders. They will work with other functional leaders to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of content production capabilities, discovery and skills mapping features, learning experiences, assessment tools, and more. Who you’re committed to being You enjoy learning and are open to new ways of doing things. You are not afraid to be yourself, experiment, make mistakes and learn from them, ask questions, or voice your concerns. When communicating you are self-aware, insightful, and proactive. You are a team member first and individual contributor second. You are aware that high-performing teams are only as strong as their weakest link. You believe in continuous improvement and request frequent feedback from others. What you’ll do Directly manage and develop a team of Product Managers across the Learner group — setting clear expectations, coaching through ambiguity, and building the product management capability needed to execute at the pace and quality the business requires. Define the product strategy and customer experience for your solution area, grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs, jobs‑to-be‑done, and business outcomes. Deliver on the strategy and roadmap by leading and enabling the Product Management team, ensuring clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and high‑quality execution. Own results for your product, including revenue growth, retention, bookings growth, and portfolio‑level KPIs, and mobilize the team to impact these metrics. Own the multi-year roadmap across Courses, Assessments, Labs, Curation/Learning Experiences, Mobile, Content Tools, and potentially others — ensuring each product area advances a coherent, best-in-class learner experience while collectively driving measurable improvements in activation, engagement, and retention. Improve product delivery by developing operations, processes, frameworks, and resources that can be scaled across organizational boundaries. Own the full product lifecycle for your capabilities—from discovery and business case, through development, launch, and in‑market optimization—ensuring ongoing alignment to company strategy and financial goals. Perform market research and identify key market trends and customer segments that inform product innovation, positioning, and portfolio bets. Develop and maintain competitive analysis for your space, clearly articulating differentiation and informing roadmap and go‑to‑market strategy. Collaborate cross‑functionally with leaders in Product, Design, Content, Engineering, Sales, Services, Presales, SaaS Operations, InfoSec, Support, Product Marketing, and Marketing, actively participating in go‑to‑market planning, launches, and enablement. Interact directly with customers and prospects to understand their problems and goals, validate concepts, and incorporate internal feedback into an aligned multi-year product strategy and roadmap. Lead engagements with customer advisory boards, strategic user groups, and other strategic customers to define the short‑ and long‑term solution vision and ensure strong product‑market fit. Understand and manage product‑level economics (e.g., P&L inputs, pricing and packaging considerations, and investment trade‑offs) in partnership with Finance and business leaders. Can build and teach customer-facing ROI frameworks and quantify product value. Communicate, present, and sell data‑driven product roadmaps and business cases to senior executives, clearly linking investment to expected business impact. Foster a healthy, inclusive team environment and support the development and growth of individual contributors, modeling servant leadership and continuous improvement.
