The Director, Knowledge Management will ensure College Board's staff intranet (myBoard) functions as a reliable, trusted enterprise knowledge hub in an environment where information is constantly evolving, incomplete, and often competing for attention. This role exists to impose clarity where knowledge is inherently messy. The Director will own the vision, structure, and editorial quality of the staff intranet as the authoritative source of enterprise guidance, defining how information is organized, written, curated, and maintained over time. This role also recognizes that knowledge does not live in a single place and will design intentional information flows across channels, determining what belongs on the staff intranet, what should be curated or summarized elsewhere, and how systems, metadata, and automation can reduce manual maintenance and improve discoverability. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with a strong editorial eye who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and understands that knowledge management is never finished. Key responsibilities include defining and stewarding the enterprise vision for the staff intranet, owning its information architecture, and establishing clear expectations for content. The role involves serving as the editorial owner, ensuring enterprise guidance is clear, concise, and well-structured, and establishing/enforcing editorial and content standards. Additionally, the Director will establish and maintain governance for content ownership, review cycles, and quality standards, and design intentional information flows across enterprise channels. Collaboration with Technology on platform configuration and the use of system capabilities and automation to support content currency, governance, and discovery are also key aspects of this role.
