About The Position

NuScale’s Investor Relations (IR) team is part of the Finance organization and supports the CEO and CFO as well as the Board in effectively positioning the firm to deliver value for all of its stakeholders. The objective of the Investor Relations team is to provide information to shareholders and investment analysts on the strategic direction and financial results of the firm. The team maintains communication with the investment community and works to deepen their understanding of NuScale’s business model and its differentiators. The IR team also provides timely feedback from investors to NuScale management. IR is a very important group within NuScale with a high degree of autonomy, responsibility, and visibility to senior management and external investors. The Director, Investor Relations will play a lead role on NuScale’s IR team, reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer. This person will serve as a spokesperson for the company and help lead and execute the IR function. This person will work closely with key functions and partners across NuScale and with members of our senior leadership team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of full-time, applicable working experience with increasing responsibilities as a financial analyst or in investor relations, preferably in energy or utility field, is required.
  • At least 3 of those years in a supervisory role managing the work of others is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate expertise with financial modeling and analytical skills as well as communicating and messaging on behalf of a public company.
  • Candidates will need to have excellent communication abilities, including producing significant amounts of presentation and written content, and be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA with emphasis in Finance strongly preferred.
  • Professional designation such as CFA charterholder, CAIA, or other preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a spokesperson with the investment community regarding NuScale’s business model, operating results and business strategy. This includes conducting investor engagements with buy- and sell-side analysts and proactively responding to inquiries received by the investor relations team.
  • Lead content creation and processes around key external disclosures, including quarterly earnings releases, Annual Reports and Proxy Statements. Primary ownership of drafting CEO and CFO remarks as well as NuScale Power Corp. narratives.
  • Prepare briefing materials, Q&A and presentations for senior management and work closely with them in advance of shareholder engagements, including meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows and Investor Days.
  • Review and partner with Finance team members on valuation and analytical exercises for NuScale and its competitors, including examining financial results, strategy, and research.
  • Report on market performance, economic, regulatory and sustainability developments and other public market information.
  • Oversee shareholder CRM, including changes in ownership and primary contacts at both the institutional and fund levels.
  • Work closely with the CFO and VP, MarCom on developing and executing the IR strategy and operating plan.
  • Collaborate across the firm to ensure consistency in NuScale’s external messaging and provide regular external feedback to internal business partners.
  • Responsible for being a people manager, culture carrier and champion for DEI.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
