About The Position

Lakefront Biotherapeutics is a global biotech company with offices in Belgium, Chicago, and San Francisco, focused on building a differentiated immunology and inflammation pipeline. The organization is seeking a Director, Corporate Communications & IR for its Chicago site to join a highly experienced Investor Relations and Communications function. This role reports directly to the SVP Investor Relations & Corporate Communications and sits at the intersection of corporate communications and investor relations. It requires strong collaboration across business development, clinical science, accounting, and executive leadership, combining strategic communication planning with hands-on execution across a broad range of internal and external initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager with excellent attention to detail and a flair for developing, implementing, and facilitating effective processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Relevant experience in corporate communications, investor relations, consulting, or financial services.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to translate thoughts into clear, compelling slides and presentations.
• Good understanding of public companies and capital markets dynamics.
• Strong interest in investor communications strategy.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities across functions and seniority levels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to help create and facilitate processes.
• Independently motivated, thorough, and strong problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and execution of Lakefront Biotherapeutics communication strategy.
• Work in partnership with the SVP IR & Corporate Communications and other key stakeholders to execute Lakefront Biotherapeutics corporate communications activities and campaigns, including but not limited to investor and media relations, digital and social communication, internal communications, and public relations.
• Support quarterly and yearly mandatory financial communication activities, including earnings, SEC filings, and investor/shareholder events, including the Company’s Annual Meeting.
• Handle logistics for financial communication events, including non-deal roadshows, investor conferences, and 1:1 investor/analyst meetings.
• Track, summarise, and distribute research reports as well as published commentary for Lakefront Biotherapeutics and relevant competitor programs.
• Analyse and monitor the company’s shareholder base and create reports summarising trends and shifts amongst stockholders.
• Assist in creating information flow to educate the Board on investor reactions to key events.
• Take ownership of certain communication materials, including news releases, scripts, presentations, Q&As, talking points, and annual report/10-K.
• Translate complex financial, scientific, and strategic information into clear, compelling messaging tailored to different audiences.
• Keep in close contact with Belgium counterparts to streamline workflows.
• Partner with Belgium teams to manage press release distribution.
• Partner with Belgium teams to manage social media channels.
• Work closely with teams across Business Development, Clinical, Finance, HR, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
• Along with Belgium counterparts, manage the company website, content updates, and assist with the corporate blog, including drafting editorial content and sourcing photography.
• Collaborate with HR to assist with communications supporting employee engagement and DEIB activities, including ongoing content development and management of Lakefront Biotherapeutics site.
• Manage consultants.
• Oversee budgeting.
• Support coordination and execution of communications-related initiatives across multiple workstreams.
