About The Position

The Director, Investor Relations (IR) will support the execution of the Company’s market engagement and communications strategy. The ideal candidate brings significant experience in investor relations, along with a background on the sell-side or buy-side and demonstrates strong financial and analytical capabilities. A solid understanding of the mining sector and capital markets is essential. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across internal teams. The Director, IR will play a key role in translating complex technical and strategic information into clear, compelling messaging for the investment community. Key responsibilities include developing press releases, quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, scripts, Q&A documents, IR board reports, and completing ad hoc sector analysis. The role also oversees the Company’s digital presence and leads preparation for events across the IR calendar.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience working with or within investor relations, and either sell-side or buy-side.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, geology, engineering, accounting or another quantitative field.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively and professionally with a range of stakeholders, including institutional and retail investors, analysts, and senior management.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and understanding of capital markets, with the ability to comprehend, retain and clearly communicate complex information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office—especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using tools like S&P CapIQ, Visible Alpha, and Irwin.
  • Detail-oriented and self-driven.
  • Ability to turn technical information into clear, high-quality materials for the investment community.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while working with different teams.
  • Focus on delivering results and strengthening how the company shows up to investors.
  • Legally permitted to work in Canada without any additional sponsorship support.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter holders and/or other professional designations (eg. CA/CPA or MBA).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clear, consistent messaging aligned with the Company’s strategy across all investor communications.
  • Collaborate with technical and financial teams to produce high-quality disclosure and investor materials, including financial statements, MD&A, press releases, presentations, and earnings content.
  • Support quarterly and annual reporting cycles by preparing scripts, Q&A, board materials, and executive briefing materials for conference calls and shareholder meetings.
  • Engage with investors and the market by relaying insights from conferences, meetings, and analyst interactions; monitor consensus estimates, trading activity, and share performance.
  • Maintain and enhance IR channels, including the Company’s website and investor database, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Coordinate investor events, site visits, and travel logistics, and periodically represent the Company at external engagements.
  • Conduct peer, market, and industry analysis to inform IR strategy and identify opportunities to expand the shareholder base.
  • Assist with various ad hoc requests and other duties, as required.
