About The Position

As Director of Investor Relations, you will serve as a key partner to executive leadership and business units, driving the alignment of capital strategies with operational and financial objectives. You will oversee the analysis of complex financial data, support strategic decision-making, and ensure accurate communication of financial results both internally and externally. This role offers a unique platform to influence high-level initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, while developing a deep understanding of investor engagement and corporate financial strategy. Requirements

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
  • Typically, 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Willingness to adopt AI (GenAI, Agentic AI) to modernize IR processes, in addition to new technologies.
  • Leverage established internal credibility and relationships across the business.
  • Ability to build partnerships across functions.
  • Superior ability to provide finance consultation to senior managers within area of expertise.
  • Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and refinement of HPE’s investment narrative, emphasizing key strategic themes such as hybrid cloud, AI infrastructure, and recent acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft clear, compelling messages suitable for target investor audiences.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior management in preparing for investor meetings, earnings calls, and industry conferences.
  • Build strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other stakeholders to communicate HPE’s growth story and strategic direction.
  • Assist in designing and executing efficient IR processes, including earnings cycle activities, investor materials, and Board reporting.
  • Leverage emerging AI tools and data analytics to enhance the effectiveness and transparency of investor communications.
  • Monitor relevant market trends, investor sentiment, and competitive activity.
  • Provide actionable insights to inform messaging and strategic positioning within your areas of focus.
  • Support efforts to identify and engage with potential long-term investors aligned with HPE’s strategic initiatives, particularly in areas like AI and hybrid cloud.
  • Work closely with strategy, legal, finance, and corporate communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to HPE’s industry reputation by supporting thought leadership initiatives, including executive coaching for market positioning and external representation.
