The position requires a builder's mindset to develop deployment playbooks for new geographies while simultaneously executing projects. The role necessitates up to 50% travel, including international travel, with potential for extended trip durations for unique builds.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of experience managing complex, capital-intensive infrastructure or first-of-a-kind projects (data centers, energy, advanced manufacturing) with budgets exceeding $500M.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects outside the United States, ideally across more than one country or regulatory regime.
  • Working familiarity with export controls, customs, and import/export processes for high-value technical equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software; leverage schedules as a proactive decision-making tool.
  • Evidence of technical breadth and curiosity to manage engineering requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and surface risks across electrical, mechanical, civil, cloud, and network engineering.
  • Experience managing distributed, multicultural teams and in-country partners.
  • Experience navigating construction codes, labor law, utility interconnection standards, and permitting processes in foreign countries.
  • Willing and able to build a process from scratch where no playbook yet exists.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time, including international travel, with extended trip durations when needed to support first-of-a-kind builds.
  • Knows how to adjust communication styles accordingly, across cultures and contexts.
  • Proven ability to drive projects to completion despite global supply chain headwinds, cross-border logistics friction, or technical uncertainty.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project schedule, budget, and scope for international and special project modular deployments.
  • Coordinate site preparation, permitting, and utility interconnection timelines with local codes and standards.

  • Manage relationships with international contractors, suppliers, customs brokers, and local authorities.
  • Provide high-fidelity project status updates to executives, highlighting international operational risks.
