About The Position

The Director of Integrated Supply Chain Operations & Planning is responsible for aligning material flow, warehouse operations, inventory strategy, logistics execution, and operational planning with the company’s growth objectives. This leader will build and lead the planning discipline, operating cadence, process governance, and execution systems required to identify constraints, manage supply and production risk, improve inventory performance, and deliver reliable customer outcomes. The Director leads the integrated planning and execution system across Demand Planning, Supply Readiness, Inventory Integrity, Warehouse Operations, Production Logistics, Transportation, and ERP-enabled business processes. This role establishes the operating cadence, planning disciplines, governance, performance measures, and Operational Execution Plan required to identify constraints, manage risk, support executive decision-making, and deliver reliable customer outcomes. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for strengthening operational readiness, improving material flow and inventory performance, increasing planning accuracy, and building scalable processes that support continued growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, planning, warehousing, logistics, or operations management.
  • 5+ years leading teams across MRP/ERP systems planning, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory, production support, transportation, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with complex bills of material, production scheduling, material constraints, and customer delivery requirements.
  • Experience building or improving planning processes, S&OP/SIOP/IBP cadence, material readiness reviews, or inventory governance and control systems Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education, military leadership, certifications, and progressively responsible experience will be considered.
  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, MBA, or related discipline preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, APICS/ASCM CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting rapid growth, facility expansion, multi-site material flow, or significant operational transformation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integrated planning process from demand signal through production execution.
  • Synchronize demand forecasts, backlog, supply readiness, inventory integrity, manufacturing capacity, warehouse readiness, and transportation requirements into a unified Operational Execution Plan.
  • Establish Operations Readiness reviews to identify constraints, risks, and tradeoffs before they disrupt production or customer delivery.
  • Develop planning policies for schedule stability, planning horizons, frozen windows, material readiness, work order release, capacity review, and escalation.
  • Own the Demand Planning process that translates customer demand, backlog, and forecasts into executable production and material plans.
  • Ensure production and material plans remain synchronized with customer priorities, manufacturing capacity, and supply readiness.
  • Establish planning discipline across high-volume, repetitive, custom, and engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • Ensure master production schedules, planned orders, work orders, purchase requirements, and replenishment signals are aligned with the approved production plan.
  • Provide leadership for receiving, put-away, storage, kitting, picking, staging, internal transportation, and line-side replenishment.
  • Establish safe, efficient, standardized warehouse processes that support production flow and inventory accuracy.
  • Develop warehouse layout, storage strategy, slotting, supermarket, kitting, barcode/scanning, and material handling improvements.
  • Lead production logistics processes that deliver the right material to the right place at the right time.
  • Partner with Manufacturing to define material presentation standards, replenishment triggers, and escalation paths.
  • Lead cycle counting, inventory accuracy, inventory adjustments, root cause analysis, reverse logistics, VMI, quality hold inventory, scrap, supplier returns, and reconciliation processes.
  • Develop inventory policies for ABC classification, cycle count frequency, safety stock, min/max levels, strategic inventory, obsolete/excess/slow-moving inventory, and inventory health.
  • Partner with Finance to improve inventory turns, working-capital visibility, inventory control, and financial reporting discipline.
  • Lead shipping, transportation, carrier coordination, inbound freight visibility, outbound customer deliveries, dock scheduling, parcel, export coordination, and freight cost management.
  • Serve as executive business process owner for planning, scheduling, inventory, warehouse operations, material movement, shipping, transportation, and related ERP/WMS processes.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations leaders to implement and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and associated warehouse, planning, and logistics systems
  • Develop standard work, process documentation, RACI matrices, role-based training, governance procedures, and executive-level reporting on readiness, constraints, inventory risk, shipment risk, and financial implications.
  • Lead initiatives that improve planning effectiveness, warehouse productivity, material flow, inventory accuracy, ERP adoption, transportation cost, and logistics execution.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, 5S/6S, standard work, visual management, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, planners, analysts, and logistics/inventory team members.
  • Build succession plans and career development paths for planning, logistics, warehouse, inventory, and transportation roles.
