The Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy is a senior-level leader responsible for leading the annual and quarterly strategic planning process for their portfolio of internal clients, developing comprehensive product marketing and go-to-market strategies at agency caliber for the organization’s most complex initiatives, and ensuring all deliverables meet strategic quality standards before partner delivery. This role supports the Senior Director in building the frameworks, brief standards, and planning processes that govern the marketing strategy function. This role builds marketing strategies from the ground up for Tier 1 initiatives, including ministry program and product launches — audience acquisition, channel architecture, messaging frameworks, and engagement strategies for programs where no existing campaign infrastructure exists. These strategies are formalized through strategy and creative briefs detailed enough for both internal creative and digital teams and external agency partners to execute against, ensuring one coherent strategic vision across all resources. The Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy serves as the strategic partner to ministry program leads for their portfolio — owning the relationship, managing budget allocation for their initiatives, resolving conflicts, and proactively identifying growth opportunities. As the marketing strategy function grows, this role is expected to take on direct management of Marketing Strategists — including day-to-day coaching, performance appraisals, and building bench strength within the function. Candidates must bring proven people management experience. Based upon department needs, the Director, Integrated Marketing Strategy may assume responsibilities associated with other roles to ensure continuity of strategic support.
