This leadership role involves overseeing the hospital's Admissions Department, leading the Intake/Admissions Residential Services, and being a key part of the leadership team within a behavioral health hospital setting. The Director of Admissions is responsible for creating and maintaining department procedures related to census maintenance, daily census records, inquiry calls, and referrals phone logs, ensuring appropriate levels of treatment and clinical services for all patients. The position coordinates all facility admissions and works closely with medical staff, nursing staff, other department heads, referring agencies, and payers. Key responsibilities also include managing the department's budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis. The Director will also collaborate with the senior leadership team on strategic goal development and management. The role is based at San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility on a 65-acre campus in Central Texas, providing 24-hour psychiatric care to boys and girls aged 6 to 17 through customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs.
