About The Position

Technology Services Group Inc. seeks a Director, Infrastructure Engineering Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves contributing to the development and implementation of strategies for designing and developing solutions to application problems, system administration issues, and infrastructure concerns. The position directs systems management and integration functions, handles vendor and executive stakeholder relationships, and develops, maintains, and implements procedures for all configuration issues throughout the full software lifecycle. The role also involves developing and implementing strategic processes for computer system software and configuration implementation and maintenance, and contributing to strategy for implementing and integrating middleware software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment for projects with broad organizational impact. The Director will evaluate current methods and strategies, implement changes and improvements, provide senior-level consulting on critical middleware issues, and serve as a senior resource on middleware policies and standards. The position will implement projects consistent with long-term IT plans, assist in coordinating activities with other IT unit heads, establish and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Infrastructure Operations, report results to the Sr. Leader, manage organizational budgets, and contribute to the achievement of related teams' objectives. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or a related field.
  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation.
  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Designing and developing technical solutions to application problems using IDEs like VS code, Eclipse, or PyCharm.
  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Handling support system administration issues, and infrastructure concerns using Service Manager, ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, or VersionOne tools.
  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing SDLC through Waterfall model, or Agile to develop, maintain, and implement configuration management plans, procedures, and execution.
  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Performing data operating models, data platforms, data modeling, and data engineering.
  • Eight (8) years of experience must include: Developing detailed design patterns for Hadoop, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL data platforms, that provide multi-zone and multi-region high availability, disaster recovery horizontal scalability.
  • Eight (8) years of experience must include: Performing data engineering, and data management using Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP Cloud.
  • Eight (8) years of experience must include: Coding using Python and Pyspark programming languages for Data Analytics and ETL.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing strategy and implement it for designing and developing solutions to application problems, system administration issues, or infrastructure concerns.

  • Establish and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for activities within Infrastructure Operations.
