About The Position

As a senior technical builder reporting to the CISO, the Director of Information Security will architect, operate, and scale Loop’s security program. The role leads defense, operations, and governance across cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, and autonomous workflows, balancing rigorous financial-grade controls with startup speed. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, Chicago, or New York City, with an expectation of being in the office 4+ days per week.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in information security, cloud security, and SecOps, including global technology enterprise experience.
Hands-on expertise securing agentic systems, AI automation, cloud-native AWS environments, and modern microservices.
Strong foundation in SOC 2, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and global data privacy frameworks such as GDPR.
Pragmatic builder mindset, ability to move fast and automate operations, and ability to partner closely with Engineering.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute a forward-looking security roadmap focused on securing autonomous AI systems, agents, and data flows, alongside cloud and application security.
Drive agentic defense, agentic red teaming, and agentic automation for SecOps, partnering with tools such as SentinelOne Purple AI and Wayfinder with human-in-the-loop oversight.
Build security controls across identity, IAM, secrets, APIs, and data protection for AI workflows.
Support compliance and governance efforts across SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and global privacy standards such as GDPR.
Scale a high-performing security team and foster a security-first, velocity-aware culture that balances risk and reward without creating monolithic blockers.
