About The Position

Join AnaVation as a passionate and driven Director for Strategic Engagement within the Intelligence and Military Solutions (IMS) Account. The primary focus of this position is to strengthen customer relationships, drive organic growth, lead strategic capture and help expand the IMS Account through new business and recompete success. As a vital member of our leadership team, you play a pivotal role in safeguarding our nation's security, collaborating closely with our customers, our business leaders, and our staff engaging directly with current and future customers. We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in expanding current programs, building innovative capabilities, and winning new contracts, knowledge and experience with DIA, ODNI, NDOC, and Army is especially helpful. AnaVation and the IMS Account are focused on continual learning and AI adoption in support of mission operations, application development/modernization, and cybersecurity. Requirements

  • US Citizen willing to hold TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years relevant IC and DoD experience in Government Contracting Leadership Positions
  • 5 years of IC and DoD Program Management experience
  • Commitment to on-site work with IMS Account team in Chantilly, VA (or appropriate DMV customer, staff work sites as needed)
  • Willingness to travel out of state as needed to engage with customers and support strategic engagement opportunities with customers, conferences, and or joining Account Leadership in company sponsored regional morale events.
  • Excellent communications skills through written and oral presentations, development of technical solution white papers, and other customer engagement.
  • Humility and passion for learning and building a learning organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business growth strategies, including market analysis and competitive positioning.
  • Demonstrated skill across the lifecycle of business development including opportunity identification, qualification, capture, customer visits, technical solution sessions, building customer rapport, understanding competitors, and teaming responsibly.
  • Understanding of strategic selling, solutions, Shipley capture and winning proposals.
  • Experience and strength in proposal writing, evaluation criteria, scoring and win themes.
  • Experience recruiting cleared technical staff.
  • Experience in the successful negotiation of teaming agreements.
  • Experience with Government contract deliverables, CPARS, and Past Performance Questionnaires.

  • Demonstratable pipeline in targeted market of IC and DoD customers and a deep understanding of customer, customer organization, contracts, tasks, and competitors.
  • Experience introducing innovative capabilities and technical thought leaders to customers.
  • Experience in identifying, qualifying, and winning large business development programs ($100M+ Total Contract Value).
  • Active participant in industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to promote AnaVation's services and capabilities within the community.
  • Proposal Management/Staffing/Key Personnel Volume experience
  • Proposal Past Performance Volume experience.
  • Proposal Pricing strategy, Price-to-Win, and Pricing Volume experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support AnaVation Account and Portfolio Leadership in strengthening and expanding customer relationships.
  • Plan, adapt and win strategic program recompetes.
  • Gate, plan, and position to win new prime contract pipeline opportunities.
  • Support proposals including win themes, writing, editing, and reviewing.
  • Plan and continually improve strategic staffing, interviewing, analysis of the current workforce and industry partners.
  • Expand continual learning knowledge base to collect, refine, and communicate AI best practices.
  • Advocate on behalf of IMS for corporate investments in AI capabilities.
  • Drive Account PMO, best practices, financial performance and reporting.
