Director, Identity Security & Privileged Access Management - USA Remote

DanaherRound Rock, TX
$175,000 - $210,000Remote

About The Position

The Director, Identity Security & Privileged Access Management is responsible for operationalizing and driving Danaher's global Privileged Access Management program — architecting and engineering PAM patterns, governing the platform and its exceptions, and driving adoption across OpCos so that every privileged human and non-human identity is discovered, vaulted, monitored, and governed. This position reports to the Global Chief Information Security Officer and is part of the enterprise-wide Danaher Information Security (DIS) team; this is a remote associate role.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on privileged access management or identity and access management.
  • Experience designing and driving enterprise or global PAM architecture, operating model, or control framework — including governance and long-term sustainability — across multiple business units.
  • Hands-on experience engineering enterprise PAM platforms (such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea): privileged-account onboarding, vaulting, session management, rotation, and integrations.
  • Experience working independently across IAM, security operations, cloud, infrastructure, and audit teams — each with their own architecture — to reduce privileged-access risk and support control evidence.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience governing non-human / service-account and secrets management at scale.
  • CISSP, CISM, or a relevant PAM platform leadership/practitioner certification.
  • Experience managing globally distributed or matrixed teams and services.

Responsibilities

  • Design PAM reference patterns — JIT/JEA, session isolation and recording, vault topology, break-glass, and non-human-identity/secrets management — that other teams adopt.
  • Lead hands-on engineering of PAM platform configuration standards, integrations, and automation, including discovery, onboarding, and credential rotation.
  • Govern privileged-account onboarding standards, exception requests, and break-glass procedures; drive remediation of coverage gaps across business units.
  • Partner across identity, security operations, cloud, DevOps, infrastructure, and audit teams — each with their own architecture — to integrate privileged-access controls.
  • Own the PAM platform and vendor relationship; report program status, risk posture, and metrics to security leadership and audit stakeholders.

Benefits

  • paid time off
  • medical/dental/vision insurance
  • 401(k)
