About The Position

MMGY Global has an immediate opening for Director, Human Resources in our Overland Park, KS office. This is the senior HR seat for our largest employee population, reporting to the Chief HR Officer and serving as a member of the global HR Leadership Team. You will be the strategic partner to our global business Centers of Excellence (COE) and the leaders who run them, own the people agenda for our workforce, and lead the HR team that supports them.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of work experience in HR, with significant experience in employee relations, total rewards, and organizational effectiveness.
  • People leadership experience, including managing and developing an HR team.
  • Hands-on experience with benefits and total rewards, including plan design, vendor management, and retirement plan governance.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, with a track record of building trust across diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from start to finish.
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and persuasive writing.
  • Trusted-advisor presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders and challenge when necessary.
  • Fluency in HR technology and AI, with experience using HR systems, analytics, and AI to drive scale and efficiency.
  • A bias for action, with the ability to move fast, juggle competing priorities, and thrive in a lean, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to global business Centers of Excellence (COE) and their senior leaders, advising on organizational design, workforce planning, performance, and talent management.
  • Drive engagement, retention, and a positive company culture.
  • Lead change management and communication efforts when the business shifts.
  • Partner with the Director Global Total Rewards to own the US benefits strategy, including annual reviews, vendor partnerships, and leading the 401(k) fiduciary committee.
  • Ensure total rewards are competitive, compliant, and cost-efficient.
  • Play a central role in integrating acquired businesses and provide HR support for those populations.
  • Develop policies and programs supporting the workforce, including employee relations, benefits, total rewards, leaves, accommodations, career development, and performance management.
  • Oversee the annual employee handbook review and monitor the market for competitive solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the North America HR function with a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Utilize HR technology, analytics, and AI to drive scale, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations matters with fairness and stability.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable US and Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members, building capacity and effective ways of working.
