This role partners with the Business Area President to understand business objectives and identify corresponding human resource needs of the region. It develops and implements human resources strategy to support business objectives and helps drive Division-wide human resources strategy, programs and processes into the region. The Director will coach the management team on employee relations and compliance, supervise and coach human resources personnel, and ensure units without assigned HR personnel are supported. This role also partners with operations and training to identify training needs and develop programs, and with operations and recruiting to understand workforce needs and participate in recruiting strategy. Planning and conducting labor relations, including assistance with negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations, is also a key responsibility. The role mediates and resolves employee relations disputes and supervises the process of responding to employment-related claims. Finally, it partners with corporate HR leaders to implement talent management programs and ensures all programs, policies, and practices adhere to company objectives and are legally compliant.
