About The Position

Corcept is seeking a Director of Human Resources (HR) to provide HR support to Corcept leadership and all employees, with a specific focus on Research and Development. This role involves strategic organization design, change management, employee relations, supporting learning and development initiatives, and a wide range of HR responsibilities to support a growing business. The position offers opportunities to be involved in compensation, HRIS improvements, and other HR focus areas. Corcept has been focused on the science of cortisol for over 25 years, developing treatments for hypercortisolism and oncology, with advanced clinical trials in various diseases. The company is headquartered in Redwood City, California.

Requirements

  • BA or higher
  • Minimum 10 years Human Resources management experience
  • Experience developing, implementing, and administering HR programs in an HRBP role or as part of an HR specialization
  • Demonstrated pharmaceutical industry experience with a comprehensive understanding of drug development and the clinical trial lifecycle
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support to Corcept leadership and all employees, with a focus on Research and Development.
  • Engage in strategic organization design, change management, and employee relations.
  • Support Corcept’s learning and development initiatives.
  • Handle a broad spectrum of HR responsibilities to support the growing business.
  • Be involved in compensation and HRIS improvements.
  • Support Executive Team members and their teams in a model that includes traditional HRBP functions and specialized HR functions.
  • Work with the Sr Director on executing Corcept’s Learning and Development plan, including design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Ensure employee population is aware of and participating in HR initiatives, including the company’s performance management process.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement Human Resources policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all U.S. EEO, employment, benefits, and wage-hour laws.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and handle employee relations, as well as termination issues.
